Business Model
Country and Local Level Impact
TerrAfrica focuses on country level impact and works to strengthen regional and sub-regional cooperation, analyze barriers and bottlenecks, and harmonize strategic policies that will provide a framework for partners at the country level to make SLM a central component of a country's national development agenda. To ensure strong country and local ownership of SLM program and activities, partnerships based on TerrAfrica principles are being replicated at country level. Taking into account existing structures and mechanisms for SLM management and operation, these partnerships work not to duplicate what is already ongoing, but rather to strengthen such activities. TerrAfrica builds capacity, strengthens the enabling environment around SLM, and removes barriers to the broad application and financing of sustainable land management.
Generating "Know How", Policies, and Investments
TerrAfrica partners generate the know-how, policies, and investment packages necessary for full and effective SLM scaling up, mainstreaming, and financing. Partners collaborate in the development of joint work programming in coalition building, knowledge management, and investments,TerrAfrica's three activity lines.
